Kai Fischer has studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin in Germany. After he has got his diploma in 1996, he joined Siemens in Munich, first working in the area of secure communications via ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network), including the estabhshment of a public key infrastructure based on an internal certification authority. His current focus is on security mechanisms for mobile agent systems in the project MAP (Multimedia Workplace for the Future).
