KOBIB - a Way from a Concept to a Project
Abstract
A general outline of the library automation problem is presented and on its basis, an international library project called KOBIB is described and the experience accumulated during its implementation at various Slovak libraries is outlined. The networking concept as well as the express ordering and delivery system for journal articles as implemented in Slovak libraries are treated in detail. Finally, the principles to be followed when "moving East" are laid down.
